6.2 Relational Frames and Psychological Events

To understand the concept of relational frame, it’s important to understand RFT’s approach to studying derived stimulus relations. Deriving stimulus relations is a type of psychological event or behavior. Remember, a psychological event is anything a person does, regardless of whether others can observe it.

Examples of Psychological Events

A boy experiencing joy while jumping on a trampoline.
A child jumping
A woman posing for a photo in an astronaut suit.
An astronaut feeling superior to you
