Of course, it would also be possible to eventually figure out a solution to this problem through simple trial and error and experimentation. But it is far more efficient to verbally analyze the physical properties of these objects and derive relations they have to each other and other events to arrive at the solution. In RFT, this process is referred to as pragmatic verbal analysis. It seems to be the basis of most problem-solving and thinking.
