An if-then or causal relation is also established between feeding the pig and receiving $50. Assuming that receiving $50 is a reinforcing event, this relation changes the functions of feeding the neighbor’s pig. Feeding the neighbor’s pig now predicts reinforcement.

If you feed my pig while I’m on vacation for the next week, I’ll give you $50 when I get back.
