7.20 Mutual Entailment

For example, when you placed star A to the left of star B, you were responding to the relation that A is smaller than B and B is bigger than A. Responding to a relation in one direction entails responding to a relation in the other direction. RFT refers to this bidirectional feature of relational responding as mutual entailment. You’ll learn more about this term later.
