Can we manipulate our own intrinsic motivation or personality or is that also governed by manipulating our own environment or education? I can see I cannot manipulate another’s motivation or personality without changing the environment or education, but does this apply to self as well?

Yes, That would by via intentions. So I can wake up in the morning and brush my teeth with intention of I don’t want my breath to smell bad. So my motivation is social acceptance. However, if I change my intention to I’m brushing my teeth because I want to have a healthy teeth and gut my motivation is self-care.
