Multiple controlling variables is a situation in which there is a single response form and that response is simultaneously strengthened by two or more controlling variables. Features irrelevant to multiple controlling variables include the response topography, the type of controlling variable, the specific number of controlling variables, and whether or not the current response is followed by reinforcement.
