Multiple control exists whenever more than one variable controls a response of a given form or whenever a response is controlled by more than one variable. Multiple control is a very important concept and a great deal of verbal behavior is multiply controlled. It also plays a major role in the analysis of humor and literature. This section of the tutorial introduces the concepts involved in multiple control and then has an extensive section on the analysis of multiple control using examples from literature, popular song lyrics, advertising, and humor.
