Should the word “fox” be on that image? The sound of the word is being paired with the picture of the fox, not the written word.

The sound of the word is not being paired with the picture in this example. The girl is being asked to select the picture of a fox when she sees the written word.

Thanks for clarifying, I thought it was the sound and the picture. Time for a break apparently!
