4.19 Example of No Change in Either Slope or Level

Based on this slope, we would predict that the behavior would continue to decrease over time, as this dotted line shows. So are the actual data in treatment different from this prediction? The answer is no, the actual data are not different—they fall right along the line. 

This graph does not show a basic effect. Neither the slope nor the level changed from what we predicted. In other words, we do not have evidence that the intervention might have caused a change in the behavior.
