2.11 Using Non-Technical Terminology
Non-technical terminology is acceptable to use to help initiate conversations with individuals who do not have extensive behavioral training, such as medical professionals, academic colleagues, non-behavior analytic colleagues, and parents and families. In contrast, it is unacceptable for a behavior analyst to initiate a discussion about behavior in mentalistic terms.
