Efficiently Searching the Academic Literature Lesson 5: Searching the Databases 5.16 ProQuest: Review Databases

Here you can see the six databases (filing cabinets) you are searching. This source will let you look through six, unique academic databases. However, notice only four databases have the icon ‘Full Text Included’ next to the name. This means you can (metaphorically) look through these four filing cabinets, pull out the file folders, AND open the file folders to read the article inside. There are two databases that do not have that icon. You can only (metaphorically) look through these two filing cabinets and pull out the file folders. You can not open the file folder to read the article inside.

  • Publicly Available Content Database

If you want to download a list of all the journal titles available to you from each database, click ‘View Title List’ to download.
