The term practice typically refers to the continuous exercise of a profession. For example, the American Veterinary Medical Association suggests that the practice of veterinary medicine is to diagnose, prognose, treat, correct, change, alleviate, or prevent animal disease. Those activities comprise the “continuous exercise” of the profession of veterinary medicine.
